An Automation Case Study

Byte Sized Solutions was recently challenged by a client to streamline their process of adjudicating split-risk claims which they were confident could not be improved upon. Within a few days, our consultants designed a process reducing staff interaction by almost half, eliminating scan vendor costs, and reducing response time dramatically.

The solution automatically downloads claim PDFs from a secure third-party site and parses into EDI 837 documents. Many claims are automatically adjudicated by a new set of business rules eliminating the need for manual review. Remaining claims are automatically submitted to the secure third-party site when adjudicated in the back-end system.

We have been able to reduce our turnaround days from 10 to 3 within a few weeks. We now have a process which saves money, is user-friendly, and makes our workload easier and more enjoyable.
